Great little hotel! The room was VERY clean, comfortable and just what we were looking for after a long day of driving. We were just passing through on our way to Western Colorado but would definitely stay here again. Keith the owner was fantastic and very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed chillaxin’ on the porch with beverages and chatting with the fellow travelers doing the same. Although it’s not the Marriott properties we’re used to staying at it was exactly what we needed and wanted. Job well done!
This place is very super clean. We are staying in a 1 BDRM apartment that is amazingly clean. It has a full size stove and fridge. It is also very very fairly priced. There was also plates, cups, silverware and pita and pans in the cupboards. We felt at home instantly. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much to the managers for being so nice and running a QUALITY establishment.
Stranded in snow storm while driving Uhaul. Never have I been more relieved to find this hidden gem. Keith was far beyond gracious and caring. Told us where to get a bite to eat, welcomed us, provided road safety advice. Can’t thank him enough!
This was an excellent experience. Our room was super clean, cozy and quiet. Kieth is very hospitable and a great person who made us feel at home. Truck drivers, this is a great place for a 34 or just the night. Park on the hill across from the restaurant and give Kieth a call, he’ll run up there and pick you up. Restaurant is still closed so might want to have some food with you. Refrigerator and Microwave in the room. This is a hidden gem and will be staying again!!
Absolutely amazing service! I came to the town quite late in the evening on my way from Alaska to Argentina, not sure where to sleep. And even though they didn’t have any vacant rooms, Keith was super friendly and welcoming giving me all the tips where to best stay in Kit Carson for the night. Should there be a next time I come to Kit Carson, I’ll defo stop by and try to stay with the Inn, for sure! Thanks so much for helping me out, Keith! It was a great pleasure meeting you
I stayed 267 days or nearly 9 months at the Kit Carson Inn while building the high voltage Power Pathway Project under Xcel that cuts a massive horseshoe shape through the state. From the first conversation Keith was friendly, quick to laugh, responsive, and available. The neighbors are quiet, amicable, the living conditions were comfortable, hence why I stayed nearly 9 months.The price was excellent, I appreciated the amenities, they have a small snack shop for essentials, and the people were great. I highly recommend Keith and the Kit Carson Inn to travelers and got two friends to stay on their own for awhile, and both were happy.
Keith, the owner, is probably one of the nicest and most accommodating hosts I've ever encountered in a hotel. While the town has very little to offer, Keith goes above and beyond to try and provide his guests essentials, even a decent assortment of grocery staples for travelers. And the fluffiest towels ive ever came across. Great job! it was a pleasure staying here.
